Calling You

Let me tell you a story about my mom. My mom was born on the 31st of April, and was given the name of Jiahuey's Mom. TRUE STORY!

But that's not what I wanted to say. See, my mom recently started using my brother's Motorola phone (long story short, he brought it to school and it got confiscated so my mom got it back and started using it to spite him. At my suggestion, of course!) and I think she's still getting used to the fact that the phone can play music.

I know right. It's called convergence, mom.

So being an old person adult, she's not gonna put Eminem or Boys Like Girls as her ringtone. Unfortunately for her, she doesn't know load more music into her phone, resulting in her having to put up with the songs that my brother had already chucked into the memory stick. Fortunately for her, it's not all "lap sap" songs like the ones I have in my phone.

My brother has pretty mainstream taste in music, so he had some pretty catchy Ne-Yo songs in there. My mom likes Ne-Yo. Ergo, she picked that as her ringtone. The funny thing is, whenever someone calls her on the phone and that Ne-Yo song starts playing (I can't remember what it's called) my mom continues to sit there, not making a move to pick up her phone.

Then after about three seconds, she realizes that it's her phone ringing and she jumps up and rushes to get it. HAHA. So funny. I love watching her expression when she realizes it's her phone ringing, it totally reminds me of the technology-impared grannies.

And the other day when I was at Kimmy's house, her phone rang and rang and rang, and I swear, it was almost 10 seconds before she realized that the song was emitting from her bag. It's SO funny!

Okay, maybe I'm the only one who finds it funny, but haha, I really do think it's hilarious. There is no point in this post, only to mock my mom. HAH!
